This short training course provides learners with an overview of neurodivergence and deepens understanding of some of the main areas of neurodivergent conditions seen within classrooms and educational settings. Enrollees work through the series of lessons and complete an assessment on the following topics:
- What is meant by neurodivergence.
- Characteristics of neurodivergent conditions of Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Communication Disorders and Intellectual Disability, and the key challenges of each within the school setting.
- Co-occurring conditions that are commonly associated with neurodivergence, such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder, trauma, anxiety and depression.
